Baker Babes Bakery At The Farmers Market

We had a great time at the Chagrin Falls Farmers Market this past Saturday. The farmers brought wonderful black raspberries, cherries, garlic, lettuce, string beans, herbs, grass fed beef and sausage. We featured our "this little piggy went to market" Pretty In Pink Pig Cookies. Thank you to all who visited our tent!

Parisian Wedding Cake

While in Paris, we were privileged to attend a wonderful local wedding. Here is a picture of the fabulous wedding cake. It was beautiful and delicious. A boast that many wedding cake creators today can't make. So many bakers focus mainly on the decorations while using frozen box cakes. Though many cakes are beautiful works of art, their highly processed taste leaves much to be desired. We are all about the taste at Baker Babes Bakery and our goal is to create simple, delicious, vintage style cakes.

Eating Our Way Through Europe

We spent the last couple of weeks in England and France. What better way to get a true taste of the continental life than by sampling the sweet offerings of local bakeries. So that's what we did! Our favorite bakery in greater London was Paul Family Bakery in South Clapham. This French style pastisserie has been in business since 1889 and is every bit as good as many of the pastisserie's of France. We found wonderful bakeries in Paris, Hyeres, Giens, and on the island of Porquerolles. They were all a feast for the eyes and palate. Here are some pictures from our favorites.
